Finally I’ve gathered some photos together from friends and family of my book launch for Dream Deli! I totally forgot to take photos and was more concerned with all of the beautiful food that was floating around on silver trays! A massive thank you to The Farmgate Cafe, in Cork’s bustling English Market. The Farmgate in Cork and their Midleton restaurant are such beautiful places with marble counter tops heavy with cakes, baskets of freshly baked scones, homemade jams and an incredible array of market fresh fare. They literally pop downstairs to the fishmongers when you order oysters or you see the staff coming up the stairs with arms full of freshly baked bread from the bread stall. It’s the heartbeat of the market for me and no better place for my book launch! When I approached them to host the launch they were so positive and generous, baking cakes and making trays of honey kissed granola. They served the rosewater, raspberry & chia smoothies, Welsh rarebit, lime & blueberry teacakes, bircher muesli, granola and fruit tabbouleh. Everything was so gorgeous and I really appreciated their attention to detail and how smoothly everything went!
Many thanks to Rory O’Connell for launching the book! Rory taught me at Ballymaloe and has an incredible book of his own which came out this year, Master It. I really was honoured to have him attend and speak so warmly of Dream Deli. So thank you so much Rory!
And of course a massive thank you to all of my friends and family that came from far and wide for helping me celebrate my second book. You really are so incredibly supportive and I really appreciate it!
